The Czech National Symphony Orchestra Has a New Home
Oct 31, 2026
Since the beginning of autumn 2026, the Czech National Symphony Orchestra (CNSO) has been based at the Krakov Cultural Centre in Prague 8.
The orchestra’s relocation brings significant economic and cultural benefits to the district. The cultural centre will now also be used throughout the morning for sessions, giving local residents the chance to attend a wide range of high-quality concerts.
“The decision to move to a new location was made after careful consideration,” says CNSO founder Jan Hasenöhrl. He adds: “Our previous studio in Hostivař no longer suited our needs, in terms of both location and capacity. The Krakov Cultural Centre is closer to our potential audience, it has an excellent management team, and we also greatly appreciate the support and cooperation of Prague 8, which owns the building.”
The Krakov Cultural Centre, however, will serve as more than just a new rehearsal venue for the orchestra—the CNSO is also building a new recording studio there.
