Throughout September 2019, The Czech National Symphony Orchestra will perform live, to picture Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in Concert as part of the Harry Potter Film Concert Series.
This will be the Czech National Symphony Orchestra’s 27th event year with Steven Mercurio at the helm running his first full season, having taken over from Libor Pešek. A concert featuring Azrieli Foundation winners will mark the first of a total of five subscription concerts. In addition to this, audiences can look forward to attending two special concerts – the Christmas “Evergreen” Tři oříšky pro popelku (Three Wishes for Cinderella) and Zlatá šedesátá (the Golden Sixties).
The final subscription series of 18/19 marked Steven Mercurio’s first as Music Director of the CNSO.

The end of August 2018 brought Romanian soprano, world-renowned star and bel canto specialist Teodora Gheorghiu to the Hostivař studio to record a new CD.
The CNSO can look forward to a number of exceptional experiences this November with five concerts being held as part of an Ennio Morricone tour – 60 Years of Music, tickets sales for which have already surpassed the half million mark!
