Hollywood Night
2026 season Prague Proms Film

Hollywood Night

Municipal House, Smetana Hall

Description

The Prague Proms Festival continues its cherished tradition this year—once again featuring our audience favourite, Hollywood Night, among the highlights of its programme. This concert, celebrating the very best of film music, will take place in the Smetana Hall of the Municipal House. Following last year’s success, British composer, conductor, and music director Chris Egan will return to the podium. His extensive experience spans film, television, and theatre music, as well as large-scale live productions. His keen sense of detail and dynamic interpretation brings a fresh dimension to the world of film melodies. As a result of his input, the programme Hollywood Night will include several new soundtracks, which our 2026 audiences will get to experience for the first time! Of course, the night will still feature beloved classics by Nino Rota, Ennio Morricone, and other great composers whose music has left an indelible mark on the history of world cinema.
