The International Music Festival Hvězdy nad Vltavou (Stars Over the Vltava), now entering its fifth edition this year, is not merely a series of concerts. It is a meeting point of tradition and modernity, of Czech musical culture and internationally acclaimed artists.
The festival is led by violin virtuoso Pavel Šporcl – an artist who has earned international recognition not only for his virtuosity, but also for his courage to push beyond the boundaries of classical music. His iconic blue violin has become a symbol of originality, energy, and a bold search for new forms of musical expression.
The opera gala evening is among the highlights of the programme – alongside the festival’s artistic director Pavel Šporcl and the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, the internationally acclaimed mezzo-soprano Justina Gringytė will also perform, her voice distinguished by its depth, dramatic intensity, and expressive power. The evening will be conducted by Robert Trevino, Chief Conductor of the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra and a prominent figure on today’s international conducting scene.
