The music of Ennio Morricone ranks among the most powerful film soundtracks of all time. From the expansive, melancholic soundscapes of the western classic Once Upon a Time in the West to the chilling tension of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, his music has an unmistakable ability to move audiences deeply.
The Czech National Symphony Orchestra has collaborated closely with this world-renowned composer over many years, both in studio recordings of his music as well as during concerts as part of numerous European tours. The pinnacle of this collaborative experience was the orchestra's recording of Morricone's Academy Award–winning soundtrack to The Hateful Eight.
Now, together with the boys’ choir Boni Pueri, we pay tribute to this Italian master of film music on a concert tour of the Netherlands. The performances will take place in the legendary Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, renowned for its exceptional acoustics and regarded as one of the finest concert halls in the world, as well as at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven.
